Job Details:
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • 3-5 years experience is required
  • The Payroll/HRIS Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with established payroll policies and procedures as well as Federal and State regulations and is responsible for all activities related to processing the monthly Physicians Organization payroll, utlizing Ceridian. Also responsible for the daily operation and support of the HRIS database.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Enter all new hire information in database as first step in onboarding process.

    Prepare and transmit monthly payroll for all PO member corporations including preparation and verification of all records.

    Maintain and reconcile payroll/general ledger interface date

    Prepare year end audit and processing (w-2s).

    Set up of new annual deductions, taxes, limits, etc. and monitor throughout year to ensure compliance.

    Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customer

    Respond to and resolve all payroll related questions and issues.

    Maintain data integrity in HRIS system to ensure accuracy of data.

    Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.

    Assist in the review, testing and implementation of HRIS system upgrades or patches. Collaborate with HR staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Maintain HRIS system tables. Document process and results.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    3-5 years payroll experience

    BA preferred, CPP designation required

    Proven analytical and problem solving skills – excellent judgment

    Detail oriented, organized and can prioritize multiple tasks

    Ability to investigate, analyze and resolve issues in a timely mannER.

    Able to work in a progressive and dynamic team environment – flexible.

    Must have deep knowledge of all federal and state laws regarding employment and payroll

    Experience within the Ceridian system preferred
