Tufts Medical Center hosts over 500 interns annually. Students representing 60 different colleges and universities across the country come here to learn how to provide the highest level of care. In addition, we offer a Youth Summer Internship Program, in which 40+ high school students from surrounding communities come to learn about health care opportunities.

Our Student Externship program has hosted 545 student externs in a wide variety of training capacities. Students are placed in departments and clinics to receive the hands-on training and mentoring required for them to take their first steps into a career in health care.

Community Partnerships

Asian American Civic Association: During our 10 year partnership with the AACA, we’ve participated in mock interviews, offered tours of our facility, provided informational interviews, and held networking and information sessions regarding health care careers with AACA clients.

YMCA Training: The YMCA Training program is a unique and successful workforce development program with the goal of enabling people in poverty to move into thriving self-sufficiency through professional skills training and employment.
