Many of our new ambulatory employees are new to either the role they are hired for, or to working at a hospital. But that’s ok – all new hires are provided with extensive learning opportunities to ensure that they successfully integrate into their new team. There are multiple weeks of comprehensive training, and you’ll have access to resources like new hire check lists, competency packets, and training manuals and videos which can help you learn all about our department.

At Tufts MC we have a wide range of departments from allergy to concierge care to infectious disease. To view a full list of our departments, visit the Tufts MC webpage.

At Tufts Medical Center, we go to great lengths to make sure our employees have everything they need to be successful. There’s a monthly ambulatory forum that focuses exclusively on meeting the needs of everyone in the department. There’s a job shadowing program which will help make sure everyone is comfortable and able to perform at a high level. You can join the employee engagement council, volunteer weekly in the patient ambassador program, and participate in smaller workgroups on process improvement initiatives. And, at any time, you can reach out for guidance if there is an area where you need more support.

A Critical Role

Working behind the scenes as a Practice Coordinator, Administrative Coordinator, Team Lead, Supervisor, Practice Manager, Business Ops Manager or in one of many other roles, you will play a part in helping us provide care to people in critical situations. It’s a great feeling to know that what you do provides help to the people who need it most!
