Job Details:

Tufts CTSI seeks a Project Manager for its growing Evaluation and Continuous Improvement program. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly-organized person with research skills to facilitate Tufts CTSIs mission through data-driven evaluation. The incumbent will manage the programs portfolio to ensure high quality deliverables within specified timeframes, assist in determining priority evaluation needs across multiple stakeholders, collaborate to design and plan small- and medium-sized evaluation projects, contribute to successful implementation of evaluation projects, and assist in effective dissemination and use of results.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop clear, actionable plans to facilitate program goals, coordinate completion of deliverables, identify and mitigate program risks, and ensure that the vision is realized.
  • Collaborate with Tufts CTSI leadership, the Evaluation Director, other Tufts CTSI programs, and researchers to identify and prioritize evaluation projects that are aligned with organizational goals and funder priorities.
  • Assist in designing small- and medium-sized evaluation studies, including preparing protocols, quantitative and qualitative data collection instruments, and Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions.
  • Support successful project implementation involving faculty, staff, and other stakeholders, including summarizing project deliverables, developing work plans, setting deadlines, tracking milestones, and managing meetings.
  • Collaborate with research associates on quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, including recruiting participants, conducting interviews and focus groups, assisting with survey management and data cleaning, participating in qualitative coding, and summarizing results using descriptive statistics or thematic analysis.
  • Write or provide detailed review of reports, manuscripts, and presentations (including text and graphics) in order to effectively disseminate project results to various audiences.
  • Assist with stakeholder meetings to ensure accurate interpretation of evaluation results and identify actionable approaches for improving performance, as needed.
  • Oversee work of program coordinator.
  • Assist with special projects for Tufts CTSI and partner organizations, as needed.
  • Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of applying continuous improvement in relevant settings.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to tailor text and graphics for various audiences.
  • Flexible and able to adjust to shifting priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • High degree of professionalism and capacity to manage relationships with a wide variety of individuals in differing roles; ability to represent the organization at high profile events.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • High energy, proactive, self-starter who will do what is necessary to get the job done; strong follow-through and work ethic.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and online search tools; knowledge of qualitative data analysis software preferred.

Job Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

  • Masters degree or higher in evaluation, social science, or related field, or Bachelors degree plus three or more years of related experience.
  • Training in data collection and analysis.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of project management or research experience.
  • Experience with program evaluation preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above, may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Consistent with a typical office work environment. Work requires frequent typing/computer keying.
  • This is a grant-funded position through April 30, 2023 with the strong possibility of renewal.
